Terms of service

Last updated November 1, 2026. These terms cover counter-strike.us and its forum.

counter-strike.us is a free, fan-run community site for Counter-Strike 2 players in the United States. By using the site or the forum, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Our privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Not affiliated with Valve

This site is run by fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike 2, and Steam are trademarks of Valve Corporation, used here only to describe the game this community is about. Valve has no responsibility for this site, and we can't help with your Steam account, game purchases, bans, or anything else Valve controls.

Who can use the site

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you using the site. Counter-Strike 2 is rated for mature audiences, and the forum is not moderated with young children in mind.

Your account

You sign in to counter-strike.us with your forum account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else, and keep it to yourself. One person per account. Don't create accounts to get around a ban or to pretend to be several people.

Community rules

Be the kind of player people want on their team. On the site and the forum, you agree not to:

The forum may have more detailed guidelines, and those apply as well.

Listing a game server

Anyone with an account can submit a Counter-Strike 2 server to the server list. By submitting a server, you confirm that:

You agree that our site will contact your server automatically every few minutes to check that it's online and to show its name, map, and player count, and that the listing, including your forum username, will be public. Staff decide which servers are listed and may reject, hide, or remove any listing at any time. You're responsible for your server, how you run it, and how players are treated on it. We don't run, control, or vouch for any listed server, and you join them at your own risk.

Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it on the site or the forum, you give us permission to store it, display it, and share it on the site, the forum, and links to them, for as long as it stays posted. You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm that you have the right to post it.

Staff may edit, hide, or remove any content that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably think harms the community, with or without notice.

Copyright

Respect other people's work. Don't post content you don't have the rights to. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, send a private message to the staff on the forum with a link to the content, a description of the work you own, and your contact details. We'll review it and remove infringing content. People who repeatedly infringe will lose their accounts.

Moderation and account suspension

We may warn you, remove your content, stop you from submitting servers, or suspend or close your account if you break these terms or put the community at risk. We'll usually explain why, but we don't have to. If you think we got it wrong, send a private message to the staff on the forum.

You can stop using the site whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account and information as described in the privacy policy.

Links to other sites

The site links to game servers, Discord servers, Steam, and other websites that we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, their rules, or what happens when you use them.

No warranty

This is a free community project run in people's spare time. The site, the forum, and the server list are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that the site will always be online, that server information will always be accurate or current, or that the site will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the people who run counter-strike.us are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, items, or accounts, arising from your use of the site, the forum, or any listed server. Since the site is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero dollars, or the smallest amount the law permits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the site or the forum. If you keep using the site after an update, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
